We’rrrrrrre back in Amsterdam and we’ve decided to move Gezonken Bootje to facebook. Go like our page

It’s been awhile since the last post… and it’s gonna take awhile before I’ll start blogging again. The reason being I left Amsterdam for a year (or so) to spend some time abroad. I definitely miss my gezonken bootjes. If you come across some good ones, feel free to e-mail me any pictures and I’ll post them here.

You see a lot of these kinds of rafts in Amsterdam, but usually they’re attached to a houseboat of sorts. To find one in the wild is exceptional. You have to wonder: who, with all the rainy weather, is going to lounge on this one?

Now, with all the low bridges on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal I am wondering: how did this sailing boat get here in the first place?

as you can see I’m in need of urgent help.
I’m an Italian girl that bought a small polyester boat that is now sinking near Stadionkade in Amsterdam.
I’ve been trying to contact the guys at Hoosjebootje but didn’t get any help so far… do you have by chance their phone no?
Thanks very much for the attention!

The best part is: this floating shack has an actual ‘tax paid’ sticker, so somebody is serious about this thing.
