Leuke website, dat gezonken bootje. Het is inderdaad opmerkelijk hoeveel gezonken spul er hier soms ligt, vooral in het vroege voorjaar. Ik heb er ook veel foto’s van.

Zoals bijgaande. Onder het motto: ‘ondergegaan, plaats vergaan’ bijgaand een zoekplaatje gemaakt aan de Schollenbrugstraat. Hier is de ligplaats van een gezonken bootje ingenomen door een andere schuit. Als je goed kijkt kun je op deze foto het andere bootje onderwater zien liggen. Lijkt me de categorie Beyond Hope. Wel een efficiënte manier om de schaarse kaderuimte hier in de stad optimaal te benutten.

 

On the Bloemgracht

I kinda like the stillness of the water in this one, gives a nice mirror effect.

While cars are passing by…

Just a little iron sloop, looks in fairly good condition. Probably caught too much rain while the owner forgot about it. A lot of cars passing by here, on the Haarlemmerweg.

Proud Bow

What I like about this boat is that it somehow keeps struggling to stay afloat, if only a tiny piece of it’s bow.

Bye-bye on the Keizersgracht

Looks like a polyester boat, which supposedly almost never sink. The only thing floating on this thing is that pallet, which under normal circumstances is used to keep your feet dry.

Mysterious shipwreck

This is an interesting derelict because the cause of its downfall is rather mysterious. If you look closely you'll see that the hull is in tiptop shape and the tarpaulin to keep the rain out is still properly attached to the boat. So what made this one go under?

Another duckboat, they make great rest area's. The ducks love 'em.

Lonely on the Herengracht

Saw this one on 'De Gouden Bocht' at the Herengracht, the only boat on this long, classy stretch of the canal. Made me very sad. I would say this one is definitely a goner.

Two for one

Look closely and you actually see two boats hanging on for dear life. The one closest to the quay is pulling the other down. They look damn dirty too.
